This is an open mic performance at The Hitching Post in Bisbee toward the end of May. It was very special having my friends and family (especially my parents!) attend. The piece is called Cardinals and Apple Trees and I wrote it for this event (although I'm sure you will get to see it in a publication soon). Thank you to mom for creating this video and sharing this memory with me. I thought about editing out the billiards noise but I feel it adds to the ambience.

About Nora Snyder
Nora Snyder is a poet, organizer, and librarian. Her work springs from questioning and elevating the human experience through small moments and often touches upon the issues of mental health, neurodiversity, caregiving, and feminine identity. She is the originator of Cliterally the Best Pleasure Hunt Ever, an annual Goddess Day scavenger hunt to raise awareness and celebrate body sovereignty. She writes for Illuminousflux.com as well as other literary journals. She facilitates Writer's Block Party, an online support group for word artists while also volunteering time and performing regularly in her new home - Sierra Vista Arizona!
